Are you a talented and highly motivated Senior Mobile Engineer looking to join a growing and unique team that is constantly innovating to push the limits of human performance?

 

At Athos our mission is to build better athletes by helping coaches and athletes personalize their training and make better performance decisions. Our training system is used by many of the best sports programs in the country.

 

The Role:

As Senior Mobile Engineer you will work with the Athos Mobile team to develop the next generation of Athos Apps for iPhone and Android devices. You will design and build advanced features for new releases of Athos’ applications and work closely with Athos Product Managers, UI/UX designers, Backend Engineers, Data Scientists and QA.

 

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Architect innovative solutions for Athos Apps that are robust, scalable and address customer needs as they use the Athos system
  • Dive deep in Core Bluetooth layers and work with data streaming
  • Participate in feature development and code refactoring to the highest standards of quality
  • Ensuring our trainers & athletes achieve the experiences and value they need in real-time
  • Work across functional teams to go from conceptualization to shipment of Apps 
  • Bring new and innovative use of iOS and Android frameworks into the Athos Apps
  • Design and implement test strategies to deliver high quality software at a rapid cadence
  • Identify and fix performance issues
  • Apply knowledge of security coding practices and secure system fundamentals (e.g., cross-site scripting, security certificates)

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in CS or Computer Engineering
  • 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping native iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) apps calling REST API
  • Knowledge of architectural principles and design patterns (e.g. MVP, MVVM, Clean code principles)
  • Extensive knowledge of Concurrency, Storyboards, Nibs, Adaptive layouts and UIKit
  • Experience with Core Bluetooth/BluetoothLE
  • Familiarity with Kotlin/Java
  • Understanding of Material Design guidelines
  • Good knowledge of C++
  • Experience working within an agile development team
  • Continuous Integration experience (Android Studio, Xcode server, Fastlane, Jenkins)
  • Adept at code instrumentation and profiling
  • Excellent communication skills, fast learner and great team player

 

Bonus Points For:

  • Knowledge of Core Data, OpenGL/Metal, streaming systems, XCTest and BDD/RSpec
  • An interest in staying up-to-date on the latest technology in sports
